Dotted Eyes’ Data Management Workshop is a big success
With a reputation for providing fun and interactive workshops that inspire fresh thinking, Dotted Eyes succeeded in delivering yet another innovative event. This time it focused on Data Management.
Held in Birmingham on the 7th November, this engaging event was all about how you can turn your data into business intelligence to make better and more informed decisions. The day was jam-packed with interactive workshops, hands-on exercises, panel discussions and highly informative talks.
Designed to deliver real value to delegates, Dotted Eyes ensured attendees went home with lots of new ideas that could be applied in their own workplace as well as useful contacts. Delegates got to hear direct from other companies about how they’ve leveraged their data to solve business problems. They also got to see some of the latest location technologies and techniques in action.
Technologies showcased included Tableau, an intuitive business intelligence tool that is transforming the way people understand data, and FME Server for reporting and notification of events for services delivered out in the field. Mike Ashmore, Business Development Director EMEA at Pitney Bowes Software, was also on hand to demonstrate Spectrum, an enterprise platform that helps integrate numerous workflows across a business.
This event proved so popular that within only a few days of its launch, the workshop had sold out. Dotted Eyes’ Business Solutions Director, Charlie Gilbert, commented: “We’ve been overwhelmed at the fantastic response we’ve had to this event. Organisations are desperate to find better ways to capture, understand, use and store the increasing supply of information that is available to them. What better way to discover this than by sharing techniques and solutions with people experiencing the same issues through events like this.”
Feedback from the event taken via an online survey also confirmed it was an overwhelming success – 100% of delegates reported that they would recommend it to a friend.
Daniel Kirby at West Midlands Police commented: “I found today really beneficial. I’ve got to meet lots of like-minded people who share the same business problems as the ones we’re facing. What’s more they’ve discovered the answer to some of these issues. The contacts I’ve taken away from today I know I’ll reap the rewards from for some time to come. It really has been a fantastic event – interactive and challenging.”
Susan Webb at Birmingham City Council commented: “I really enjoyed today’s event. I liked the fact that there were lots of group exercises, which were really interactive. It was also great being able see how I could apply some of the latest technologies in my own workplace.”
As a result of the success of this event, Dotted Eyes now plans to hold this workshop again in London. The company will be announcing the date and venue soon. To register your interest, contact Dotted Eyes on +44 (0) 121 232 8000 or info@dottedeyes.com
