Mapping Data
Modern GIS data is sophisticated and very rich. However, when raw, it is also difficult to manage and optimise ready for your applications.
Our data sets have all benefited from more than 20 years of experience in the field and demonstrate not just great styling but optimised handling characteristics. They save you time and increase the value that you gain from them.
We offer over 50 maps which are designed for use within GIS, CAD, mobile GIS brochure artwork or websites.
Should you require any further information or a quotation, please contact us to discuss what you want to achieve.
MapChest
Now the map matches the technology
Mapping applications have developed tremendously over the last 10 years but are being held back by one key element – the map. MapChest puts the map back at the forefront of mapping.
Why backdrop mapping is holding back your mapping applications
You need your backdrop mapping to be clear, consistent and concise so that your data stands out at every zoom level and users can easily and simply zoom from one layer to another. Unfortunately Ordnance Survey’s standard backdrop mapping stack does not deliver well on these requirements. Its feature richness hides your asset data and the significant changes in styles between scales require real concentration as the users zooms.
A new solution is needed which delivers Ordnance Survey’s accuracy through a simplified, consistent mapping style. That solution is MapChest.
Solving the problem
MapChest is a consistent, simple and clear data stack designed specifically for use in all of your GIS environments. It is your one source of Tiffs, TABs, SHP, Tiles Caches and WMSs all in the same style, all in the same place – it is your MapChest.
Now the user can navigate easily from one map to another with the same features appearing in the same way. You can style your asset data once knowing that it will be crystal clear at every zoom layer.
The map now matches the technology
Specification
Delivery
In addition to making the core data more usable, the way that the data is made available for you has also been radically changed. MapChest is available in 4 different forms: As a Raster Stack, a Vector Stack, a Tile Cache and as a WMS. All of these formats are distributed from Dotted Eyes’ online platform MISO as a download or as a physical disk.

Spend Your Time Managing the Data not Finding the Answer
Did you know the Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) contract provides NHS organisations with a much greater range of Ordnance Survey data sets but these will all need processing before they can be used?
Reconfiguring, reformatting, styling and optimising all takes time, investment and software, all factors that are in scarce supply at the moment.
Our PSMA Data Pack provides you with a complete package of Ordnance Survey data, all fully optimised and ready to go. So you spend the time answering the business question not reformatting yet another data set.
In summary, the PSMA Data Pack will:
- Provide you with much more of the data you need
Get significantly more GIS data for less money than if you were to pay for it separately - Save you time
The data is uniquely optimised, styled and ready to go, saving you days of reformatting raw data - Save you money
Eliminate costs such as software licences, processing time and training requirements
