GBPro 200 Images technical information
A workspace file opens all the layers and sets zoom layer thresholds that determine when the layers are visible.
A georeferencing file positions each image and a seamless table opens all the files required for the current map view.
The British National Grid co-ordinate system is used. The nominal scale of these images is 1:200,000 (about 1 inch to 3 miles) and the resolution is 10 dots/mm (254 dpi). Each pixel represents 20m square.
This is suitable for scales on screen in the range 1:200,000 to 1:50,000.
The storage space required is about 178Mb for full Great Britain coverage in MapInfo TAB format.
Main formats available; MapInfo TAB/TIFF, ESRI TFW/TIFF and others, along with georeferencing files for use in GIS.
