Open Source software
Open Source software has come a long way since its inception as a counter-culture programming movement. It has since developed to the extent that it is beginning to become the de facto standard rather than the alternative. Linux is a globally accepted platform whilst the British Government has stated a view that it should be used widely. Angela Smith, Minister of State for the Cabinet Office, stated in 2009 that "..we have always respected the view that governments should favour Open Source on principle".
In parallel with this widespread acceptance, Dotted Eyes has developed a deep understanding of open source software and has been delivering solutions based upon it to both public and private sector organisations.
