MapInfo Professional is a powerful Microsoft Windows based mapping application that enables business analysts and GIS professionals to visualise the relationships between data and geography.

The course is aimed at existing MapInfo Professional users who wish to refresh their skills, consolidate on their previous experience and learn new tips and tricks which enable you to maximise how you can benefit from the software.

• MapInfo fundamentals;
• Moving around mapper windows - synchronising two map windows;
• Appearance of map layers - adding custom labels and labelling with more than one attribute;
• Finding and selecting records;
• Advanced digitising - using snap auto-trace and auto-node;
• Table structure and creating tables;
• Query with SQL - grouping and counting;
• Importing external data (Excel and Access);
• Thematic mapping - associate your thematic layers with a MapInfo table;
• Printing - drag and drop your map into Word.

The course is for those who wish to refresh their skills, having been self-taught, or those who have not attended formal MapInfo training for some time.
